Design Spotlight : January

Hidden among the hills of Alexandria, Virginia, January's Design Spotlight showcases the desire to keep an original mid-century design while modernizing it from the inside out.

ABOUT THE NORDOCK PLACE PROJECT

DESIGNER : Andrea Finn
LOCATION AHF Designs in Kentlands, MD
EXPERIENCE : 20 + Years, CKD Certified

Nordok Place can be found nestled in Hollin Hills in Alexandria, Virginia. The goal while renovating Nordok Place was to keep the original mid-century design that is prominent throughout Hollin Hills, while increasing the space and functionality seen in newer kitchens today.

Before the remodel, the kitchen inside Nordok Place was situated inside a tight corridor and had minimal space to be the centerpiece for gathering and entertaining. It was ultimately expanded to house a modern eat-in kitchen and family room.

Featured in this design is Plain & Fancy's Metro Door in a Natural Finish with Quartered African Mahogany.
