August 2008 marks the 40th Anniversary for Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry.  What began as a family business of six in August 1968 has grown to an extended-family business, run by the second generation, of over 200.

To commemorate the 40th Anniversary, Plain & Fancy invited its Reps and Dealers, members of the Media and family to help celebrate the occasion at Plain & Fancy headquarters in Schaefferstown, PA on August 6th and 7th.

Phil Clemens, Chairman and CEO of The Clemens Family Corporation, Eliot Sefrin, editorial director and publisher of KBDN and Joan Kohn, former host of HGTV’s Kitchen Design and Bed & Bath Design series, were guest speakers. Plain & Fancy hosted guided tours of its plants highlighted by their new state-of-the-art finishing facility. Each day, co-founder Loretta Achey signed the new custom cabinetry book “Creating your custom kitchen” featuring photographs of Plain & Fancy kitchens.
